Motion and Stability
5.PS2: Motion and Stability: Forces and Interactions Make observations and measurements of an object’s motion to provide evidence that pattern can be used to predict future motion Voc. Cards are due by Friday of this week Students will also be tested on the meanings of these words on Friday Vocabulary Position, distance, direction, motion, speed Monday--Essential Question(s) How can you tell whether something is moving? Tuesday Students will describe a mystery object’s position in the classroom with written and verbal directions while incorporating weekly vocabulary. Students will analyze their data. Wednesday-Thursday Students use their own measurements and multiple trials to calculate the speed of a wind-up toy. Friday- Vocabulary test. Students will also need to be able to calculate speed of an object using Speed=Distance /Time
