Our standard this week: 5. PS 1.2 Analyze and interpret data to show that the amount of matter is conserved even when it changes form, including transitions where matter seems to vanish. Voc. Cards are due by Friday of this week Students will also be tested on the meanings of these words on Friday. Condensation, sublimation, evaporation, melting point, boiling point, freezing point, chemical properties, chemical change, reactant, product, chemical reaction, precipitate Monday: How do we know a chemical change has occurred? Tuesday: Experiment with baking soda and vinegar to understand conservation of mass Wednesday: Experiment with rate of Reaction using H2O and antacids Thursday: Experiment with Conservation of Mass and Exothermic reactions using borax, glue, hydrogen peroxide, and yeast Friday: Vocabulary Test
