This is Week B 8:05-8:30- morning routine 8:30-9:20 Encore 9:25-10:10 BOOST (Reading /math review) 10:10-11:20 Social Studies or Science 11:20-11:40 Recess 11:45-12:15 Lunch 12:15-1:45 Math 1:45-3:10 ELA Social Studies Monday-- Students will practice map skills including using Latitude and longitude to find locations on a map. Tuesday--Standard 5.26-- Students will explain how the name "Tennessee" originated from the Yuchi word Tana-tsee, referring to where the rivers come together. Wednesday--Standard 5.27--Students will identify the cultures of the major indigenous settlements in Tennessee, including: The Paleo (Coats Hines Site), Archaic, Woodland (Old Stone Fort, Pinson Mounds), and Mississippian (Chucalissa Indian Village) Thursday-- Standard 5.28-- Students will identify the pre-colonial American Indian tribes residing in TN (e.g., Cherokee, Chickasaw, Creek, and Shawnee), and analyze their various customs and traditions. Hello, I'm Katherine Reed. This is my 31st year of teaching and my 25th year at Richland. I am a graduate of the University of Mississippi where I received my undergraduate degree and masters degree in Elementary Education.
