Student will complete a on open book test covering standards 5.41-5.46 Guiding Question: How did US emerge from Civil War?, Begin Gilded Age Unit 1 Chapter 1, US 1-US 17 Read and discuss lesson 1 View Discovery videos on Gilded Age Wednesday 5.01 Students will explain the need to the South’s move toward industrialization after the Civil War. GQ: How did the changes of Industrialization promote the development of a New America?
Thursday 5.02 The Student will examine the appeal and challenges of settling the Great Plains from various cultural perspectives, including, settlers, Immigrants, Buffalo Soldiers, and Am. Indians. GQ—Why did westward expansion appeal to Americans and Immigrants?
Students will participate in the Lollipop Lab. Students will use the Scientific Process to measure, calculate, identify variables, create and rea graphs and charts as well as make observations as they find the answer to ; Does the size (circumference) of a lollipop affect how fast it dissolves when licked?
