Our field trip to Maxine Smith STEAM school will be Thursday, Oct. 3. We will eat lunch at Richland and then travel to STEAM. We will be back to Richland by 2:30.
Eureka Module 2 Monday- Lesson 10 Multiply decimal fractions with tenths by multi-digit whole numbers using place value understanding to record partial products. Tuesday-Lesson 11 Multiply decimal fractions by multi-digit whole numbers through conversion to a whole number problem and reasoning about the placement of the decimal. Wednesday-Lesson 12 Reason about the product of a whole number and a decimal with hundredths using place value understanding and estimation. Thursday- Field Trip to STEAM Lesson 13 Use whole number multiplication to express equivalent measurements. Study Guide will come home today. It will be due Monday, Oct. 7. Friday-Mental Math; Computation Practice; Lesson 13 Use whole number multiplication to express equivalent measurements. Looking ahead... The Mid-Module 2 Study Guide will come home Thursday, Oct. 3 and will be due Monday, Oct. 7. The Mid-Module 2 test will be Wednesday, Oct. 9. I will be offering extra credit over fall break. Students will have a choice between iReady or IXL. Students can complete 1.5 hours on either iReady or IXL (5th grade skills) between Oct. 12-20 for 25 extra points on classwork assignments. This is an all or nothing extra credit. There will be no partial credit. The entire 1.5 hours must be completed to earn the extra credit.
